Book of Remembrance entry
Econ. : Lance-Corporal, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Enlisting 19th August, 1914, and sailing 19th October, served with 3rd Australian Field Ambulance at Lemnos and Gallipoli from May to November, 1915, when invalided to Gibraltar Military Hospital and to 3rd London General Hospital in December. Returning to Egypt in March, 1916, and crossing to France in April, served at Pozieres, Flers and Ypres, whence in October, 1917, invalided to England and Australia, arriving 1st August, 1918, after being torpedoed on hospital ship Kyarra. Member of Teachers' College.
