Enlisted on declaration of war as Sapper in 2nd F.C.E.; on duty at Pt. Nepean during August, then in Domain Camp; sailed 21.10.14 to Egypt; transferred to R.F.A. (90th Fld. Coy.) as 2/Lt. 4.4.15; sailed for England 6.4.15, and entered R.F.A. School at Chatham 27.4.15; to France 23.6.15; wounded at La Bassee 24.8.15; at Loos with 9th Div. Scottish; Lieut. 3. 12. 15.
Killed in action at Armentieres on 21st February 1916, aet. 23.
