Eng. II : Corporal, 45th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 14th September, 1915, and sailing 15th January, 1916, with 14th Reinforcements 1st Battn., transferred to 45th in Egypt 6th March and was attached to Intelligence Section. Crossing to France in June, served at Pozieres, Bullecourt and Messines till death, although gassed 13th April, 1917. Promoted corporal, 21st December, 1916.Killed in Action, Messines, 7th June, 1917
