Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Sapper, 1st Division Signal Coy., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in March, 1916, and sailing 25th October, joined unit in France in September, 1917. Wounded at Hooge and evacuated to England 4th October. Rejoining coy. in March, 1918, was again wounded and evacuated to England from the Somme sector 22nd August. Rejoining unit again n th November, served until February, 1919, and returned to England for educational work until demobilisation. Early education at Balmain Superior Public School. Later at Teachers' College.
