B.A., LL.B. : Warrant-Officer II, Education Service and A.F.A., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 2nd November, 1916, and sailing 5th June, 1918, after qualifying for Artillery commission at Liverpool Camp in November, 1917, trained in England as Artillery signaller till 6th October. Then being invalided, saw no action but became extra-regimental warrantofficer II, Australian Corps School, Rue, from January, 1919, till demobilisation. Early education at Sydney High School.
