Kenihan, Raphael Leo

R L Kenihan was at first attached to 9 FdAmb after he was posted to France in WWI but a month later (Feb. 1917) became RMO of 44 Bn. He served with distinction and was awarded a Military Cross. He was later gassed but after he recovered he returned to serve at the front.
After returning to Australia, he had a general practice at Millswood and held positions at the Adelaide Hospital and at the Keswick Repatriation Hospital.
Kenihan continued to serve in the CMF after his WWI service had ended and held important posts before and during WWII.
