Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Italy, England and France. Enlisting 17th February, 1917, and sailing 5th November after being attached to No. 4 Australian General Hospital, Randwick, served from its formation with Australian Field Hospital, Taranto, Italy, and then six months on Salisbury Plain. Joining No. 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station in France in September, 1918, remained with it until March, 1919, at Blendecques, St. Venant, Estaires, Tournai and Ath. Afterwards was with No. 3 C.C.S. at Euskirchen near Cologne till May when returned for demobilisation. Early education at Manly Public and Grammar Schools. Later at St. Andrew's College.
