Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt, England and France. Enlisting in November, 1915, and sailing 21st December, was attached to 5th Training Battn. in Egypt. Crossing to England and then to No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, joined 13th Australian Field Ambulance at Reninghelst 21st September, 1916. After being R.M.O. 49th. Battn. for one year, rejoined Ambulance shortly before end of 1917 and about May, 1918, went to No. 3 A.G.H., Abbeville, serving there till after the Armistice. Rejoining Ambulance, was sent to Charleroi, and on return to London in February, 1919, was six months at Boscombe Hospital near Bournemouth till demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
