B.A., LL.B. : Lieutenant, 121st Battery, R.F.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting at St. John's Wood, England, in February, 1916, was gazetted second-lieutenant 7th July, serving with battery in France until severely wounded at Vimy Ridge in April, 1917, returning to Australia by passenger ship 30th May, 1918. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
