Enlisting 17th April, 1916, and sailing in October, served at Parkhouse from 22nd November, 1916, at No. 7 Camp, Perham Downs, from 11th May, 1917, and at No. 1 Australian Auxiliary Hospital from 14th July. Returned to Australia in September, 1918. Early education at Newington College.
