Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Gunner, 39th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 28th April, 1917, and sailing 3rd August with 10th Reinforcements 53rd Battn., volunteered for and joined Artillery in England. Injured near Kemmel 18th March, 1918, and evacuated to hospital at Colchester. Rejoined battery before Harbonnieres, and served through the Hindenburg Line and until demobilisation. Early education at Mudgee High School. Later at Teachers' College.
