Book of Remembrance entry

B.D.S. : Private, 41st Battn. and A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 15th February, 1916, and sailing 1st May with 3rd Reinforcements 49th Battn., transferred to 41st in England, 23rd September. Crossing to France 24th November, was attached for a time to 2nd Australian Tunnelling Coy. but, rejoining battn. 4th February, 1917, was wounded at Armentieres on 19th. After six months in hospital, being unfit, was transferred to No. 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, doing duty in theatre, surgical supplies and massage (hand and electrical) and returning to Australia 2nd June, 1918. Early education at Central Technical College, Brisbane, matriculating at Queensland University.
