Laboratory Attendant, Technology : Private, 5th Pioneer Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 13th October, 1915, and sailing 17th December with 8th Reinforcements, 20th Battn., 26th January, 1916, joined 56th in Egypt and transferred to 5th Pioneers 3rd March. Crossing to France in June, served at Fromelles, Flers, Bullecourt, Albert, Hazebrouck, Villers-Bretonneux, Peronne, Mont St. Quentin, Bapaume, Corbie and until demobilisation, being on various occasions with Divisional H.Q. as runner. Education at Choppington Public School, England.
