Book of Remembrance entry

M.A. : Corporal, 2nd and 54th Battns., A.I.F., Gallipoli. Enlisting 4th March, 1915, and sailing 16th June as sergeant with 6th Reinforcements 2nd Battn., was detailed to Officers Training School, Zeitoun, and arrived with details at Gallipoli 28th August, remaining with battn. till the Evacuation. Transferred to 54th during the reorganization at Tel-el-Kebir, was returned to Australia in April, 1916, to continue training as medical student at University, but recommended by University to complete the year in Arts, Member of Teachers' College.
