Arts I (e) : Sergeant, 20th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 30th March, 1915, and sailing with battn. 26th June, served at Gallipoli from August until the Evacuation and crossing to France in March, 1916, was wounded at Armentieres 9th May. Promoted sergeant, 15th March, 1916. Died of Wounds, Armentieres, 10th May, 1916, and was buried in Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension. Member of Teachers' College.
