B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Lieutenant, 1st Australian Cavalry Division, Signal Squadron, A.I.F., Palestine and Mesopotamia. After acting as Adjutant, Pioneer reinforcements, and instructor at a signal school, sailed in May, 1917. Served in Mesopotamia with Signalling Coy. and Wireless Squadron from 25th June, 1917, to October, 1918, and until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 1st January, 1918. Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Junee Superior Public School. Later one year in Arts.
