Book of Remembrance entry
Pharmacy : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 8th February and sailing in April, 1915, with 4th reinforcements 1st Australian Field Ambulance, joined unit at Anzac in July, 1915, but was invalided in October to Malta and London. Transferring to 14th A.F.Amb., served as stretcher-bearer in France, and till demobilisation, except for six months as medical detail with 55th Battn., rejoining unit just before Bullecourt. Early education at St. Stanislaus'' College, Bathurst.
