Book of Remembrance entry
Med. I l l : Lieutenant, R.E., and King Edward''s Horse, B.E.F., France; also Russian Expeditionary Force. Enlisting in London in 2nd King Edward''s Horse 23rd April, was in France from 5th May, 1915, to 27th March, 1917, and then returned to England. Was commissioned in R.E. 26th October, crossed to France and served from 24th December, 1917, till demobilised in England 26th January, 1919. About 25th May re-enlisted in Russian Expeditionary Force, remaining with it till 23rd March, 1920, when demobilised with rank of lieutenant. Returned to Australia, 35th October. Early education at Wolaroi College, Orange.
