Book of Remembrance entry
B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Sapper, 2nd A.L.H. Signal Squadron, A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting in May, 1917, and sailing in May, 1918, served with Australian Mounted Division in Advance from Ludd to Damascus, at Homs for surrender of Turkish Army, subsequently on patrol work, Tripoli-Baal Bek Road, and till demobilisation. Early education at Christian Brothers'' High School, Lewisham.
