Arts : Sergeant, 18th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 26th June, 1916, was in Training Camps and at No. 14 Non-commissioned Officers and No. 5 Officers Schools. Sailing 7th February, 1917, as Quartermaster-Sergeant 19th Reinforcements, joined battn. as signaller at Arques 13th July, serving at Ypres, Hangard Wood and elsewhere until demobilisation. Promoted sergeant, 1918.
