O.B.E., M.B., Ch.M. : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 8th November, 1915, and sailing as major with Australian Dermatological Hospital, served at Bulford, returning to Australia in November, 1918. Promoted temporary lieutenant-colonel, 30th February, 1917, and lieutenant-colonel, 18th September. Awarded O.B.E. 7th June, 1918.
