B.V.Sc. : Captain, A.A.V.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Sailing 6th February, 1915, in veterinary charge of horse transport "Clan Macquorquodale ", returned from Egypt and re-embarked with more horses on "Bokhara "22nd May, having been commissioned on the 16th. At Cairo was appointed Veterinary Officer, 1st A.L.H. Regt., going to Upper Egypt, and from 8th March, 1916, was V.O. 1st Brigade, being present with H.Q. at all actions (except Magdaba, when ill in hospital) till Amman II. Then transferring to Desert Mounted Corps, served in all actions until after the Armistice and returned 6th March, 1920. Mentioned in Despatches. Hawkesbury Diploma and Certificates from Civil Service, Technical and Melbourne Veterinary Colleges.
