B E ., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Sapper, 1st Wireless Squadron, A.I.F., Mesopotamia. Enlisting 31st March, 1916, and sailing 22nd August, served with 6th Cavalry Brigade, Indian Expeditional Force "D "until invalided from Arab village in Mesopotamia, returning to Australia 22nd June, 1917. A.M.F. : Major, Aust. Engineers, 17th March, 1933. Early education at Wellington College, N.Z. Later at the University of Queensland.
