M.B., Ch.M.; M.R.C.P. (Edin.) : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 19th December, 1916, and sailing 4th March, 1917, was attached to 13th Training Battn., England, 10th June, and No. 3 Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, 10th September. Joining 14th Australian Field Ambulance 2nd October, 1917, remained with it till 1st October, 1918, being for short periods R.M.O. 55th Battn. Then was Divisional Education Officer till 13th March, 1919, and remained on non-military employment at Edinburgh till October, returning 12th January, 1920. University Medallist and Henry Wait Bursar. Early education at Fort St. High School. Later one year in Arts.
