M.M., B.Ec. : Corporal, 9th Light Trench Mortar Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st August, 1916, and sailing 19th September, served with unit from 29h July, 1917 , to 29th September, 1918. Gassed at Villers-Bretonneux in April and wounded at Gouay in September, being returned to Australia 8th April, 1919. Awarded M.M. at Bray in 1918. Member of St. Andrew''s College, with one year in Arts.
