Book of Remembrance entry
M.B. : Sergeant, 30th Battn., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting in December, 1915, and sailing with reinforcements as company sergeant-major in 1916, served on Instructional Staff for several months prior to joining battn. in France. Wounded at Peronne 3rd September, 1918, and evacuated to hospitals at Rouen, Birmingham and Weymouth and thence to Australia, arriving in February, 1919.
