LL.B. : Lieutenant, 54th Battn., A.I.F., France; also A.N. and M.E.F., New Guinea. Enlisting in August, 1914, served at Rabaul and elsewhere until 18th January, 1915. Re-Enlisting 16th March, 1916, and sailing n th November with 8th Reinforcements after being commissioned from Duntroon, 30th September, joined battn. in Ypres sector in July, 1917. Wounded at Polygon Wood 30th September. Rejoining unit after seven days, served until wounded again at Villers-Bretonneux 8th April, 1918, and evacuated to England and Australia, arriving 14th March, 1919. Early education at Fort St. High School.
