Book of Remembrance entry

Med. II : Gunner, 1st Bde., A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in August, 1916, and sailing 19th December, crossed to France and served with Field Artillery in Ypres sector, being wounded at Passchendaele in September, 1917, and evacuated to Weymouth Hospital. Rejoining brigade in January, 1918, fought at Messines, Villers-Bretonneux and elsewhere till death. Killed in Action, Hindenburg Line, 29th September, 1918, and buried in Tincourt New British Cemetery. Early education at Fort St. High School.
