Book of Remembrance entry
Econ. II : Sergeant, 1st Divisional Train and Australian Pay Corps, A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting in July, 1915, and sailing in October, was driver with Expeditionary Forces to Tripoli border (Mersa Matrooh) from December, 1915, to late March, 1916. Arriving in France, 1st April, served until demobilisation, being Sergeant, Pay Corps, from 1917. Early education at Petersham Intermediate High School.
