Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Lieutenant, 1st Machine Gun Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 5th August, 1915, and sailing 16th January, 1916, crossed to France and served at Fleurbaix, Pozieres, Ypres, Flers, and Bullecourt, being wounded at Fleurbaix in 1916 and Bullecourt in 1917. On recovery served during German Offensive near Strazeele and Amiens in March 1918, in the later British Offensive and until demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
