Book of Remembrance entry
Arts I I : Private, 2nd Batt., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting in October, 1915, and sailing 22nd December, served with battn. on Suez Canal. Transferred to Machine Gun Section and, crossing to France, served in Pozieres sector till death. Killed in Action, Pozieres, 23rd July, 1916. Commemorated in Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. Early education at Byron Bay Public and Lismore District Schools.
