B.E. : Engineer-Lieutenant R.A.N. Enlisting in 1914 as an engineer officer on H.M.A.S. Sydney , served in Pacific, at New Guinea, with first A.I.F. Convoy, being present at the capture of the German light cruiser Emden, and then in West Indies, Atlantic and North Sea, returning 18th November, 1920. Peter Nicol Russell Scholar.
