Book of Remembrance entry

B.D.S. : Gunner, 101st Howitzer Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 9th March, 1917, and sailing as signaller 5th November via Italy to England, joined battery at Strazeele in April, 1918. Served at Somme, Villers-Bretonneux, Hindenburg Line and Nauroy where gassed 3rd October and evacuated to Birmingham War Hospital, returning to Australia 26th March, 1919. Hon. Demonstrator in Operative Dentistry. Early education at Knox College.
