B.A. : Lieutenant, General List (Education Service), and 9th Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 14th February, 1916, and sailing in July, joined coy. in France and served as driver in various sectors. On 30th October, 1918, was commissioned and posted as Education Officer to No. 4 Command Depot, Sutton Veny, being subsequently promoted lieutenant. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
