Book of Remembrance entry

L L .B .: Lieutenant, 53rd Battn., A.I.F., France; also A.N. and M.E.F., New Guinea. Enlisting 11th August, 1914, served as corporal in New Guinea until 4th March, 1915. Re-enlisting 26th August and sailing with 9th Reinforcements, 18th Battn., passed Imperial School of Instruction, Zeitoun, and was promoted second-lieutenant, 1st December. Joining battn. at Fromelles, 2nd May, 1916, served till death. Killed in Action, Fleurbaix, 20th July, 1916. Commemorated in Fromelles Memorial. Early education at Fort St. High School.
