Arts I (e) : Gunner, 2nd D.A.C. and 104th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 25th October, 1916, and sailing n th May, 1917, served with 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column on Ypres front. Subsequently transferred to battery beyond Ypres, taking part in the Battles of Menin Road, Polygon Wood, Zonnebeke and Broodseinde and, returning 23rd September, 1918, was discharged through sickness.
