Book of Remembrance entry
Med. I : Gunner, 1st and 7th Bdes., A.F.A., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Enlisting October, 1914, and sailing early in 1915, fought at Gallipoli from June till the Evacuation and, after work in the Desert, left for England in August, 1916, joining 26th Battery in France and serving with it at Armentieres, Messines, Ypres, Somme and elsewhere until the Armistice. Died of Illness, England, 11th February, 1919, and was buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Woking. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
