Caulfield G.S.; Trinity; 2nd year Med.; 1st in pole vaulting at Vic. championships March 1915.
15.5.15; sailed 17.7.15, Cpl. A.A.M.C., No. 1 Hosp. Ship; discharged from A.I.F. 20.9.15, and joined Notts. and Derby Regt. (Sherwood Foresters); thence to R.F.C. 1rth Sqdn. as 2/Lt.; to France June 1916; severely wounded 9.9.16, and awarded M.C.; returned to Australia on furlough; sailed again April 1917; and appointed to instructional staff at Turnberry (N.B.) Flying School. While practising there on 19th June 1917, the machine crashed from 450 feet, and he was killed, aet. 21.
