M.B. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Enlisting in January, 1915, and sailing 26th March as R.M.O. 13th A.L.H. Reinforcements, returned invalided 3rd January, 1916. Re-embarking 27th May, 1916, joined 12th Australian Field Ambulance 5th September, becoming R.M.O. 52nd, 4th Pioneer and 48th Battns. for short periods. Served at No. 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, from 2nd July, 1918, to 25th January, 1919, being demobilised in United Kingdom, 28th December. Early education at The King's School. Later at St. Paul's College.
