Enlisting 31st July, 1915, and sailing 4th August, served with No. 1 Australian General Hospital at Heliopolis and Rouen from 4th September, 1915, to 6th July, 1917, and then at No. 1 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, returning 23rd December. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew''s College.
