B.E., M.I.E.Aust. : Lieutenant, 8th Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., France. Commissioned 3rd September, 1917, after being for two years Engineer Officer in camps, and sailing 17th November, joined coy. in France 16th April, 1918, serving until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant 23rd May, 1918. Chief Electrical Engineer, Public Works Department. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
