Book of Remembrance entry
Law : Captain, 53rd Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st July, 1915, as second-lieutenant, was posted to 1st Artillery Brigade and, sailing 10th August, joined 1st Divisional Ammunition Column in England 7th October. Transferred to 14th Brigade 27th February, 1916, and, crossing with it to France 20th June, fought at Fleurbaix, Somme, Hindenburg Line and Bullecourt. Attached to 8th Brigade H.Q., Ypres, 19th June, 1917, serving till death. Promoted lieutenant, 8th December, 1915, captain, 1st August, 1917. Killed in Action, Ypres, 3rd August, 1917, and buried at Vlamertinghe, Flanders. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
