K.B., O.B.E., M.D., Ch.M.; B.A. (Adel.), F.R.C.P., F.R.A.C.P. : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt. Enlisting in August, 1916, and sailing 2nd September as lieutenantcolonel, served as Senior Physician with No. 14 Australian General Hospital, Cairo and Port Said, and as Consulting Physician to A.I.F. in Egypt and Palestine till 1919. Awarded O.B.E. 1st January, 1919, and Mentioned in Despatches twice. Fellow of the Senate, 1919-. Dean of Faculty of Medicine, 1932-5. Lecturer in Clinical Medicine 1912-35. Hon. Consulting Physician, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
