After being on Administrative and Instructional Staff as hon. major for twelve months, was transferred to A.I.F. as Captain, 30th Battn., 18th October, 1917, and proceeded to France, serving till the end of the War. Was D.A.O.M.G. 2nd Division from 18th February, 1919, to 27th April and then A.A. and Q.M.G., B Group, A.I.F. Depots, United Kingdom, till June. Promoted major, 1st November, 1918. A.M.F. : D.A.A. and Q.M.G., lieutenant-colonel, 1926.
