Medical Exhibitioner : Sergeant, 36th Battn., A.I.F., France. Sailing in September, 1916, was pay corporal and sergeant at H.Q. in England and France till May, 1917. Then reverting to private to rejoin unit in firing line, served till death. Killed in Action, Messines, 7th June, 1917, and buried in Soldiers'' Cemetery, St. Yves. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
