Book of Remembrance entry
Arts I : Sapper, 2nd Signal Troop, 2nd A.L.H. Brigade, A.I.F., Gallipoli and England. Enlisting 28th October, 1914, and sailing 22nd December, served at the Landing at Right Flank Wireless Station, W6, till invalided to Alexandria in November. Rejoining unit, was at Tel-el-Kebir and, crossing to England, at Tidworth and Hitchin until again invalided to 1st Eastern General Hospital, Cambridge, in 1916. Passing through convalescent camps in England, returned to Australia in February, 1917, and was discharged from Randwick Hospital 10th July, 1918, but again an out-patient, 18th February, 1935. Early education at Dubbo Superior Public and The King''s Schools.
