Eng. I : Driver, A.A.S.C. (Mechanical Transport), A.I.F., France. Enlisting in November, 1915, and sailing in March, 1916, served with 1st Australian Ammunition Sub-Park in France and Belgium till death. Died of Injuries, near Poperinghe, 27th August, 1916, and was buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe. Early education at Wollongong District and Sydney Grammar Schools.
