Book of Remembrance entry
Arts I (e) : Sergeant, 14th Machine Gun Coy., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 8th October, 1915, and sailing with 7th Reinforcements 17th Battn. 23rd December, was transferred to 55th in Egypt, 16th February, 1916, and to 14th M.G. Coy. 10th March, going with it to France. Wounded at Fromelles 20th July, 1916, and rejoining company on recovery, was invalided to Australia, arriving 14th February, 1918. Promoted temporary sergeant, 1st February, 1917.
