Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Warrant Officer I, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 24th April, 1915, and sailing in February, 1916, after hospital work at Liverpool Camp, was attached to 1st Divisional H.Q. Staff till 8th May, 1917, when transferred to 3rd Australian Field Ambulance. Through gas and sickness at Messines invalided to hospital 24th March, 1918, and to England in April, rejoining unit in July. After the Armistice engaged in educational work with vocational training units till demobilised. Early education at Alstonville Public School. Later at Teachers'' College.
