Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Mobilised 6th August, 1914. Enlisting 12th January, 1916, and sailing 8th November, joined 8th Australian Field Ambulance in March, 1917, and served as stretcher-bearer at Bullecourt and Ypres, being wounded at Menin Road 25th September and evacuated to hospital in England. Returning to France, was invalided to England in April, 1918, and thence to Australia, arriving 22nd December. Early education at Wishaw High School, Scotland.
